The Nazareth Football Team were at Parkland at 7pm on September 15th and lost and will be at Liberty on September 22nd. 

 

The Nazareth Girls Tennis were at home vs East Stroudsburg North on September 5th and won and then played host vs Liberty on September 9th and won and will be at Central on September 11th and host Pocono Mountain East on September 13th and host Northampton on September 15th and then at Parkland on September 18th. 

 

The Nazareth Field Hockey Team played host to Pocono Mountain East on September 5th and won and will host Easton on September 12th and then at Pleasant Valley on September 14th and then host Bethlehem Catholic on September 16th and then at Stroudsburg on September 18th.

 

The Nazareth Girls Volleyball Team were at East Stroudsburg North on September 6th and won and  then played host to Whitehall on September 9th and won and will now host Liberty on September 12th and then host Stroudsburg on September 14th and then at Northwestern on September 15th and then host Easton on September 18th.

 

The Nazareth Boys Soccer Team played host to Emmaus on September 6th and lost and then host Pocono Mountain East on September 8th and won and then host Southern Lehigh on September 9th and won and will host Northampton on September 11th and then at Freedom on September 13th and then host East Stroudsburg South on September 15th and then at Stroudsburg on September 19th.

 

The Nazareth Girls Soccer Team Went Emmaus on September 6th and tied in a very good match and then at Pocono Mountain East on September 8th and won and then at Southern Lehigh on September 9th and won and will be at Northampton on September 11th and then host Freedom on September 13th and then at East Stroudsburg South on September 15th and then host Stroudsburg on September 19th.

Welcome back to Andy's Corner and Welcome to a brand new school year that our Fall Sports teams started, Football and the Band and Cheerleading started on August 7th with practices while all the remaining Sports started on August 14th.

 

As I start with the Fall Teams I Would like to send out get well wishes to former Nazareth Wrestler and now 5th year Ohio State Wrestler Sammy Sasso who got shot this past Friday Night in Columbus Ohio and now is now expected to make a full recovery! On behalf of the Home News we all are cheering for a fast recovery!

 

The Nazareth Football Team will start their 2023 Season on the road this Friday August 25th when they will travel to East Stroudsburg South.

 

The Nazareth Girls Tennis started their season at home on August 21st winning over Pocono Mountain West and will now will be at Beach on August 23rd and back home on August 25th against East Stroudsburg South and then host Freedom on August 28th.

 

The Nazareth Field Hockey Team will open at Liberty on August 25th and then host Easton on August 31st.

 

The Nazareth Girls Volleyball Team will open the year at Freedom on August 29th and then host Dieruff on August 31st.

August 6

 

Welcome back to Andy's Corner! I Hope everybody is having a great summer! School Sports are starting back off for the Fall season. On August 7th Football and Golf and the Marching Band and the Cheerleading Squad all started their practices while on August 14th next Monday Girls Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis and Cross Country will all with their Practices.

 

As we move to the fall sports I Would like to take a minute and give you final records of all the notable summer teams of interested as it was an awesome Summer for a lot of teams.  Nazareth SR Legion Baseball Team had a 9-6 season and made it to the playoffs where they lost to Northampton in the First Round.  The Nazareth Blast Softball Final records that goes from last September to this past July are as follows: The final 10U Record 20-31-3. The 12U Kashner team 2023 Spring final record was 27-8-3 And her final record last fall was 12-3 while the other 12u team called Dente went 26-23-1 between last July and this July.  The 16U Blast team last fall final record was 8-6-1 while their 2023 Spring Record was 18-12-1.  The Nazareth JV Boys Basketball won the battle at the beach Tournament on July 16th that was held at Cedar Beach.  At the Awesome Basketball Tournament at Cedar Beach on July 30th the Varsity Basketball team went 2-1 in the tournament while the JV Team went to the final day and lost to Reading to get eliminated from the Awesome Tournament back on July 30th and I Will have more recaps from other summer teams in next week's Article!

The Nazareth Boys Volleyball Team played Emmaus in the Semifinals Catasaqua High School on May 30th in the District Semifinals and lost to end the 2023 Volleyball Season.

 

The Nazareth Softball Team played Emmaus in the Semifinals of Districts on May 30th and won and then played Easton in the District Finals and beat Easton to win the Championship and then played a home state playoff game on June 5th vs Penridge ad won 12-3 and will now play Chambersburg on Thursday June 8th in the States Quarterfinals at 2:30pm at Twin Valley High School and with a win, the Semifinals on June 12th and the State Finals would be on June 15th at Penn State.

The Nazareth Boys Lacrosse team started Districts on Thursday May 18th when they went to Delaware Valley and fell short 14-5 to finish the season.

 

The Nazareth Girls Lacrosse Team started the District Tournament on Thursday May 18th when they went to Easton and lost 22-10 to finish the season.

 

The Nazareth Boys Volleyball Team will host Freedom on Thursday May 25 at 6pm in the District Quarterfinals and Tickets are required and can be found at:

The Nazareth Baseball Team played  Liberty at Desales in the District Semifinals on May 15th and lost and will now host Freedom at 4:30pm on Tuesday May 24th in the District Quarterfinals with the Semifinals on May 28th and Finals at Desales on May 31st.

 

The Nazareth Softball Team playedFreedom in the EPC Semifinal at Pates Park on May 15th and won and then played Northampton at 7pm in the EPC Final at Pates Park on May 18th and won 5-3 and will now host Parkland or Pleasant Valley at 4:30pm in the District Quarterfinals on Thursday May 25th with the Semifinals on May 30th at Pates Park and Finals on June 1st at Pates Park.

 

The Nazareth Track Team will be at Shippensburg University for the State Championship on May 26th and May 27th and will be live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network for the events on May 27th from 9am on and to order tickets for the whole weekend please go to https://www.piaa.org/sports/tickets.aspx?sport+track.

The Nazareth Baseball Team played  Northampton on May 10th in the EPC Quarterfinal and won and then lost in the Semifinal on May 15th vs Liberty at Desales and will now be in Districts next week.

 

The Nazareth Softball Team hosted  Emmaus at 4pm in the EPC Quarterfinal on May 15th and won and then beat Freedom in the EPC Semifinal at Pates Park on May 15th and will now play Northampton at 7pm in the EPC Final at Pates Park on May 18th.

The Nazareth Boys Tennis team started districts on May 1st at home vs Southern Lehigh and won and then were in the Semifinals at Liberty on May 2nd and lost to finish the season 13-3.

 

The Nazareth Boys Lacrosse team host Easton on May 2nd and TBA And then host Central on May 3rd and lost and will now wait to Districts later in May. 

 

The Nazareth Girls Lacrosse Team were at Easton on May 2nd and lost and then host Central on May 4th and lost to finish the season 6-11.

 

The Nazareth Boys Volleyball Team played host to  Whitehall on May 1st and won and went to Easton on May 4th and won and will play in the EPC Quarterfinals at 5pm at Nazareth Middle School vs Liberty and the game is FREE OF Charge as there is no charge. If they win the Semifinal is Thursday May 11th at Allen High School and that night does have Admission at Allen High School.  

 

The Nazareth Baseball Team played Dieruff on May 4th and won and then played host to Easton on May 7th and won and will play in the EPC Quarterfinals on May 11th vs Northampton at 4pm.

 

The Nazareth Softball Team hosted  host Easton on May 3rd which got called in the 6th inning due and resumed on May 5th where we beat Easton on May 5th and also we went to Pates Park on May 4 and beat Dieruff and played host to Bangor on May 6th and won and will travel to East Stroudsburg South and then the EPC Quarterfinal is on May 11th at home vs Emmaus at 4pm.

 

The Nazareth Track team were at home vs Easton on May 2nd and won and will now be at Whitehall on May 9th and 10th for the EPC/Colonial League Tournament and Admission is required for that and the link is located at this link right here.

The Nazareth Boys Tennis team started districts on May 1st at home vs Southern Lehigh and won and will play in the Semifinals at Liberty on May 2nd and if they win, the finals are May 4th at Lehigh University. The seniors are Akash Adavan, Harrison Hoch, Alay Patel, IIIias Phanzu, Sai Pulavarthy, Alexander Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez and Jordan Wagner.

 

The Nazareth Boys Lacrosse team played host Northampton on April 25th and then at Freedom on April 27th and won and Lost then host Pleasant Valley on April 29th and won then host Easton on May 2nd and then host Central on May 3rd at 4pm. This year Seniors are Kole Koch, Collin Wells, Tanner Caka and Ryan Wallbillich.

 

The Nazareth Girls Lacrosse Team were at Northampton on April 25th and lost and then played host Freedom on April 27th on Senior Night and lost and then was at Pleasant Valley on April 29th and lost and then at Easton on May 2nd and then host Central on May 4th and then host Dallas on May 5th. This year Seniors are Kelly Ward, McKayla Timbrook, Harleen Grewal, Brook Engler, Anita Chianale and Michalynn Castone.

 

The Nazareth Boys Volleyball Team work at Southern Lehigh on April 24th and lost and will host Freedom on April 26th and won on Senior Night and then at Parkland on April 28th at 6:45pm and lost and then at Quakertown on April 29th vs Quakertown and won and then vs Allen and won and then host Whitehall on May 1st and won and will be at Easton on May 4th. This year Seniors are Ross Ellis, Luke Manson, Derek Perkins, Jack Hasker, Jacob Werkheiser, Chris Bugbee, Kaine O'Reilly and Jackson Gentry.

 

The Nazareth Baseball Team played host Dieruff on April 24th and won and coach Bryan Wolf gets his 100th win and then host Liberty on April 25th and lost and then at Freedom on April 27th and lost and then host Easton on May 2nd and then at Dieruff on May 4th. This year Seniors are John Bacolo, Alexander Bucci, Jake Dally, Cole Dibilo, Collin Grossotolski, Maxwell Kochenash, Gavin Panovec, Jacoby Sauer, Zachary Smethers, Adam Trimmer and Preston Warne.

The Nazareth Girls Lacrosse Team were at Northwestern on April 12th and won and then host Moravian Academy for Youth Night on April 13th and lost and then at home vs Phillipsburg New Jersey on April 14th and won then at Freedom on April 17th and lost and then at Becahi on April 18th and will host Saucon Valley on April 20th and host Dallas on April 22nd. 

 

The Nazareth Boys Tennis Team host Whitehall for Senior Day on April 10th andwon and won and will host East Stroudsburg North on April 13th and won and then at Bangor on April 14th and won and then at Easton on April 17th and then will wrap up the Regular Season on April 18th at Parkland. The Team is right now 13-2. 

 

The Nazareth Boys Volleyball Team played  at Northampton on April 11th and won and then host Emmaus on April 13th and won and then at Pocono Mountain West on April 17th and will be at Liberty on April 19th and host Becahi on April 21st and then at Southern Lehigh on April 24th as the team is currently 10-1. 

 

 

The Nazareth Baseball Team played host to Parkland on April 10th and won and then played vs Easton at 4pm on Friday April 14th at Coca Cola Park and won and then host Bangor on April 15th and won and then host Becahi on April 17th and won and will be at Northampton on April 19th and will host Pocono Mountain East on April 21st and then host Dieruff on April 24th. The Team is right now 10-2. 

 

The Nazareth Softball Team  played host to Parkland on April 10th and won and then played host Dieruff on April 11th and won and then at Easton on April 13th and won and then got rained out vs Bangor on April 15th but did get the Community Day Activities in and then host Becahi on April 17th and won and will be at Northampton on April 19th and then play at East Stroudsburg University at 1pm in EPC Play Day vs Pocono Mountain East on April 23rd and then host Liberty on April 25th. The team is right now 8-4. 

 

The Nazareth Track team hosted Freedom on April 12th and won and will now be  at Liberty on April 18th and then host Central on April 20th.

The Nazareth Wrestling Team participated in the State Tournament March 8th-11th at the Giant Center in Hershey where Sonny Sasso and Sean Kinney brought home Titles! Congrats to all the Wrestlers on a great season of Wrestling!

The Schedule for February 24th is the Pigtail/Prem Round at 5pm and then 1st Round Consolations at 7:30pm and then on Saturday February 25th it will be the 2nd Round Consolations at 9am followed by the Semifinals and 3rd Round Consolations at 10:15am and then the 4th round Consolations at 11:45am and then 3rd-5th Round Consolation Finals at 3pm and the Big Championships at 4:45pm. The Nazareth Boys Basketball Team were  at Becahi on February 6th and are now still waiting to see if they make Districts yet which are on February 25th and at the time of print still no word.

 

The Nazareth Wrestling Team went to  Catasaqua High School and won vs St Joseph Prep and then were in the State Tournament in the 1st Round at 8pm on Thursday February 9th vs Delaware Valley and won and then on February 10th they beat Central Dauphin and then beat Cannon Mcmillan to reach the State Championship on February 11th where they lost to Becahi and will now have the Individual Tournament at Liberty High School on February 24th and February 25th.

 

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team hosted  Becahi on February 6th and lost to Becahi and then on February 10th were at Central at 7pm in the EPC Quarterfinal and lost and will be in Districts on February 24th.

 

The Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders placed 9th in Orlando Flordia this weekend at Nationals and are 12th ranked nationally because 3 moved directly to finals from prelims in the Competition! Congrats to all the Cheerleaders on a great year!!!!!

The Nazareth Boys Basketball Team were  at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on January 30th and won in Overtime vs Wilson and then were at Dieruff on January 31st and lost and then hosted Easton on February 3rd on Senior Night and  won then at Becahi on February 6th and lost and will wait to see if they play in Districts or not which would be on Saturday February 25th.

 

The Nazareth Wrestling Team went to Allen on January 30th and won and then at Freedom on February 4th for the District XI Team Tournament where they beat Emmaus and then beat Northampton and then lost to Becahi in the Finals and will wrestle St Joes Prep at 6pm in the PIAA 1st Round Tournament at Catasaqua High School and won and will wrestle in the State Tournament in the 1st Round at 8pm on Thursday February 9th vs Delaware Valley.

 

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team hosted  Dieruff on Senior Night on January 31st and won then at Easton on February 3rd and lost in Overtime and then host Becahi on February 6th and lost to Becahi and will be in the League Tournament will start on February 10th at Central at 7pm in the EPC Quarterfinal.

 

The Nazareth Swimming Team hosted Emmaus on January 31st and the Boys won and won the EPC Championship and the Girls lost  then the Ceder Crest Classic on February 4th. The Boys Finished the season 11-0 while the Girls Season finished 9-2. 

 

Finally, we would like to say Good Luck to the Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders as they head to Nationals this week in Orlando Flordia!

The Nazareth Wrestling Team went to Dieruff on January 18th and won then at Emmaus on January 19th and won and will be at Allen on January 25th at 7pm. The Junior High Team had a Tournament at Bellefonte this weekend where Chase Kerfoot got 2nd place, Derek Fulmer got 2nd Place, Elijah Simak got 1st Place, Dom Tunison got 3rd Place and Ronan McColgan got 6th place and the team finished in 4th Place.

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team were at home vs Northampton on January 17th and won and then at Pocono Mountain East on January 20th and won and will be at Liberty on January 24th and then at home vs Freedom on January 27th and at Pocono Mountain West on January 28th at 1pm.

The Nazareth Swimming Team were at Parkland on January 17th and won and then played host Central Catholic on January 19th and won and will host Northampton on January 24th and then at home on January 26th vs Southern Lehigh and Moravian Academy.

The Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders went to Garnet Valley on January 21st and finished in 2nd place and are now getting ready for Nationals in February!

Finally, I Would like to send out Special Congratulations to Jim Pokrivsak from Nazareth who is retiring as Athletic Director at Easton High School after 20 years!

The Nazareth Wrestling Team were host to Northampton on January 4th on Teacher Appreciation Night and won 46-22 and then host Liberty at 7pm on January 5th on Youth Night and won that one and will host Pleasant Valley for Senior Night on January 11th and then go to the Virgina Duals January 13th and 14th.

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team played host to Stroudsburg on January 3rd and won and then were at Dieruff on January 6th and won then at Governor Miffin on January 7th and won 52-22 and will be at Becahi on January 10th and then host Easton on January 13th.

The Nazareth Swimming Team were at East Stroudsburg South on January 4th and both won and both the Boys and the Girls remain undefeated and will host Pocono Mountain West on January 10th.

The Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders were in the District XI Championships at Easton Middle School on January 7th and finished 2nd behind Northampton in the Large Group Division.

The Girls Basketball Seniors are: Rylee Abt, Braedyn Chobin, Addison Kea and Isabella Novak. The Wrestling Seniors are Michael Bonsignore, Charles Bunting, Sonny Sasso, Alexander DiMartino, Jake Doone, Marco Malerba, Noah Okamoto and Dominic Wheatley. The Boys Swimmers Seniors are: Joshua Bersler, Gabriel Carey, Ethan Coffman, Josh Doule, Ross Ellis, Jack Hasker and Tyler Tinsley. The Girls Senior Swimmers are: Summer Baker, Victoria de Bruyn, Samantha Garvey, Jillian Kingsley, Keira Kline, Isabella Montero and Kylie Schmidt. The Competion Cheerleaders who are Seniors are: Abygayle Beers, Kayleigh Hyman, Nadia Quach, Nicole Swanson, Katelyn Turner, Kaitlyn Wagner and Mallory Woodland.

Happy New Year! The Nazareth Boys Basketball Team were in a Holiday Tournament at Whitehall on December 28th at 7pm and lost to whitehall and then lost to Conrad Delaware on December 29th and will be at Stroudsburg on January 3rd and then host Dieruff on January 6th. 

The Nazareth Wrestling Team participated in the Bethlehem Holiday Tournament at Liberty High School on December 28th and 29th and won 1st place and will host Northampton on January 4th on Teacher Appreciation Night and then host Liberty at 7pm on January 5th on Youth Night. 

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team played in a Tournament at Pocono Mountain West on December 28th at 5pm vs Bishop Shanahan and lost and then lost to Northampton on December 29th and will now host Stroudsburg on January 3rd and att Dieruff on January 6th and then at Governor Miffin on January 7th.

 

The Nazareth Swimming Team welcomed  Stroudsburg on December 27th and won and both the Boys and Girls are still underfeated and will be at East Stroudsburg South on January 4th and then host Pocono Mountain West on January 10th.

The Nazareth Boys Basketball Team host Central on December 20th and Won and will be in a Holiday Tournament at Whitehall on December 28th at 7pm and then will play at a time and team to be Announced on December 29th.
The Nazareth Wrestling Team played host to Whitehall on December 21st on Community Night and won and will now participate in the Bethlehem Holiday Tournament at Liberty High School on December 28th and 29th. The Schedule for the Holiday Tournament is as follows:
Session 1 (December 28): 8:30 AM, Pigtails, Preliminaries, Consolations Rounds 1&2
Session 2 (December 28): 6:30 PM, Quarter Finals, Consolations Rounds 3&4
Session 3 & 4 (December 29): 10:00 AM, Semi-Finals, Consolations Rounds 5&6.
There will be a short break to prepare for Consolation Finals / Finals.
The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team played at Central on December 20th and won and will now be in a Tournament for the Holidays at Pocono Mountain West on December 28th at 5pm vs Bishop Shanahan and then against a team and time to be Announced on December 29th.
The Nazareth Swimming Team welcomed Freedom on December 20th where we won and will now host Stroudsburg on December 27th.

December 18

The Nazareth Boys Basketball Team were at East Stroudsburg North on December 13th and lost and then were at home to host Freedom on December 16th and lost and will now host Central on December 20th and then in a Holiday Tournament at Whitehall on December 28th and 29th.

The Nazareth Wrestling Team were at Freedom on December 14th and won then at the Beast of the East Tournament this coming weekend in Delaware and now will host Whitehall on December 21st on Community Night and then be in the Bethlehem Holiday Tournament at Liberty High School on December 28th and 29th.

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team played host to East Stroudsburg North on December 13th and won and then went to Freedom on December 16th and won and will be at Central on December 20th and then in a Tournament for the Holidays at Pocono Mountain West on December 28th and 29th.

The Nazareth Swimming Team went to Whitehall on December 13th and both the Boys and Girls won and will now host Freedom on December 20th and then host Stroudsburg on December 27th.

The Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders had a Junior Varsity Competition on December 18th at Parkland and the JV Team won First place!

The Nazareth Boys Basketball Team were at Wallenpaupack High School on Friday December 2nd at 7pm vs Stroudsburg and won 41-36 and then played host Wallenpaupack and won 40-34 on Saturday December 3rd and will be at Liberty at 7pm on December 6th and then host Parkland on December 9th.

The Nazareth Wrestling Team went to Cumberland Valley for a Tournament on Friday December 2nd and Saturday December 3rd where Tahir Parkins got 1st place, Jake Doone, Dominic Wheatley and Noah Okamoto all received 2nd place, Charles Bunting and Marco Malerba got 4th place and Cade Campbell and Brayden Zuercher received 5h place and Remy Trach finished in 6th place in the Tournament and we will now be at Easton on Wednesday December 7th and then will host Delaware Valley at 7pm on Saturday December 10th.

 

The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team were in a Tournament at Hazelton on Friday December 2nd at 5pm vs Lake Lehman and won 36-31 and then played Hazelton on Saturday December 3rd and lost 50-46 and will host Liberty on December 6th and then at Parkland on December 9th.

The Nazareth Swimming Team will open their season at 4pm at Dieruff on Tuesday December 6th.

The Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders had a Competition on Saturday December 3rd at the PPL Center and got TBA and are Varsity Game Day & Varsity Competition Cheerleading teams who both qualified for the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL in February tonight at the UCA Regional Competition and will now on Wednesday December 7th be at Easton Middle School and then at Bethlehem Catholic on December 10th.

The 2022 Winter Sports Season started on Friday November 18th with Practices with Games starting around December 2nd. The Nazareth Wrestling Team had their Annual Meet the Wrestling Team event on November 21st. The Coaches for the 2022 Winter Sports Season are as follows, First the Boys Basketball Team under the Direction of Joe Ardnt. The Head Coach of the Wrestling Team is Dave Crowell while the Girls Basketball Team is under direction of Head Coach of Richard Bickert and the Head Swimming coach for the 2022-2023 Season is Seth Urfier. The Assistant Coaches for Boys Basketball are Ryan Hericik, Dave Wickman, Ed Reid, Craig Topping and Ryan Kreider is the Middle School Boys Basketball Coach. The Assistant Coaches for the Girls Basketball Team are Jeremy Coxe, Joe McCallum, Aimie Tracy, Katelyn Kline and the Head Middle School Girls Basketball Coach is Cindy Getz. The Wrestling Assistant Coaches are Steven Klas, Luke Garner, Ricky Laforge and the Junior High Coach is Evan Fidelibus. Stay Tuned next week as i will dig into previews for each team!

Welcome to Andy's Corner!
The Nazareth Marching Band traveled to Hershey on Sunday November 13th for the championship and finished in 1sat place in the Patriot Division Open Division to wrap up the 2022 Band Season, Best Wishes to all the Seniors and a special Happy Retirement to Rick Hilborn who will be reportedly retiring as Band Director.
The Nazareth Middle School had their annual Powderpuff Football Game on Thursday November 10th at Andy Leh Stadium. It was the 9th Annual and it was between White and Black as the White won the game 54-44 and a special thank you to the local Fire Departments for escorting the Kids from the Middle School to the Liberty Street Gate where they entered the stadium! All the money this year was given to the Given Tree and there was a donation box for donations or gift cards from retailers such as Giant, Wegmans, Target, Walmart and others. The Giving Tree will also be available in the school next week during Parent-Teacher Conferences.
The Nazareth Competition Cheerleaders on November 6th went to Northampton where JV Took 1st and Varsity Traditional took 1st and Varsity Gameday took 1st and Grand Champion and highest score of the Competition and then on November 12th went to Easton where JV Took 1st and Varsity Traditional took 1st and Varsity Gameday took 1st and Grand Champion Highest Score of the Competition and on November 13th went to Wilson where JV Took 1st and Varsity Traditional took 1st and Varsity Gamedsay took 1st and grand champion highest score of the Competition.
Winter Sports will start Practices on Friday November 18th and the first home events will be Girls Basketball on December 6th and Boys Basketball on December 9th and Wrestling on December 10th and Yours Truly will be collecting Tickets at all 22 HOME EVENTS This Winter as always!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Andy's Corner!

The Nazareth Football team played host to Parkland in the District Quarterfinals on Friday November 4th and fell short 42-14 to end the Football Season with a 9-2 Record.

The Nazareth Field Hockey Team started the District Tournament on Tuesday November 1st when they played Easton in the District xi Playoffs at Whitehall where Easton won 2-1 to end the 2022 Field Hockey Season for Nazareth.

Lastly, This Thursday November 10th at 6:30pm please come to Andy Leh Stadium for the Annual Middle School Powderpuff Football Game as all tickets are 5 Dollars and the Gate will open at 5:30pm!

Welcome Back to Andy's Corner! The Nazareth Football team went to Dieruff on August 26th in Allentown and won over the Huskies to start 1-0 and will now open the Home season vs Parkland on September 2nd at 7pm live on Service Electric and Astound TV. Tickets for Home Football Games are 5 Dollars for Adults and 3 Dollars for Students and Citizens over 65 are FREE. Football Games are the only Paid Sport Event in the Fall Months. The Nazareth Boys Soccer Team on August 27th went to Southern Lehigh and won then host Becahi on August 29th and then at Central on August 31st and host Pocono Mountain West on September 2nd and then at Emmaus on September 7th. The Nazareth Football team opens up at Dieruff at 7pm on August 26th in Allentown and then opens the Home season vs Parkland on September 2nd. Mark your Calendars for Homecoming on September 30th and Senior Night for Football on October 14th. The Nazareth Girls Volleyball team will open at home vs Liberty on August 30th. The Nazareth Blast 14u Team played host to Franklin on June 14th and won and then at Northern Lehigh on June 15th and won and then a Tournament in Emmaus June 18th-19th where they they lost to Northern Valley and then beat the Avalanche and then beat Eastern Shore and then on June 19th lost to Eastern Shore and will host Hokey on June 22nd and then host Emmaus on June 23rd and then a Tournament at Quakertown on June 24th and June 25th.
The Nazareth Clippers Senior Softball team played host to Pen Arygyl on June 13 and lost and then at Palmer on June 14th and lost and then host Palisades on June 15th and lost and will host UMBT on June 20th at Tuskes Park and then at Pen Arygyl on June 21st with the playoffs on June 23rd and 24th. The Killer Bees clippers Softball team beat St James on June 15th and then beat Palmer on June 16th and then beat the Saucon Valley Crush on June 18th to win the ELV Championship!

The Nazareth Blast 14u Team played host to Hokey on June 22nd and then went to Quakertown where on June 25th and June 26th where they beat Pennsbury and then beat the Wildfire and then lost to the CD Storm and then beat PA Extreme and then beat the TBA Abd then beat Northern Valley and then beat the PA Sting and then lost to Diamonds Premeir and will have a HOME Doubleheader on June 28th vs Bowmanstown and then at Egypt on June 29th and then host Northern Lehigh on June 30th and then a Tournament at Drums PA on July 2nd and July 3rd as they will play Riverfront at 8am Saturday and then NEPA Wolfpack at 9:30am and then Explosion 14U at 12:30pm Saturday Afternoon and Potential times for Sunday is either 8am or 9:30am with the Championship of the Drums PA Tournament at 11am.
The Nazareth Clippers Senior Softball team played host to UMBT on June 20th at Tuskes Park and won and then at Pen Arygyl on June 21st and lost and ended the 2022 Season as they did not enter the Playoffs. The Killer Bees clippers Softball team beat St James on June 15th and then beat Palmer on June 16th and then beat the Saucon Valley Crush on June 18th to win the ELV Championship!
Lastly, on Thursday June 16th Andy Leh Stadium played host to the 51st Annual McDonalds Football Classic where the Gold beat the Red 24-21.

The Nazareth Blast 10U Softball team went to Egypt on June 8th and won and then went to Forks on June 9th and won and then was in a Quakertown Tournament where they lost to Warrington, beat the Langhorne and lost to Northwest and lost to the Invasion and will be in a Tournament June 17th-19th in Ocean City Maryland where they will play the PA Lady Knights, the Diamond State Ducks and Eastern Shore and Ashburn Shooting Stars.
The Nazareth Blast 12u team beat Emmaus in a a Doubleheader on June 10th in Emmaus and then was in a Quakertown Tournaments where they are STATE CHAMPS in their Division as they beat the Blue Thunder, lost to the Xpress Elite Orange and beat the Xpress Elite Grey and beat the eXpress and then beat SCC Swatt 12U For the tournament state championship and will be at Northwest on June 13th and then at Northampton on June 14th and host Egypt on June 16th and host Lower Mac on June 17th.

The Nazareth Clippers Senior Softball team lost at Forks on May 31st and will now be at Bethlehem Township at 7pm on June 6th and at Palisades on June 7th at 6pm at Revere Veterans Park and then host Palmer on June 8th at 6pm at Tuskes Park and will also have home games at Tuskes Park on June 13th and June 15th.

The Nazareth Softball Team played at Emmaus at 4pm in the Dist. Quarterfinals on May 26th and lost 5-1 to end the season at 13-9.
Special Congrats to Kelly Lescynski on being a state champ in Track this past weekend at Shippensburg and the First Female in Track to ever win as a Javelin State Champion with the winning throw of 141''3.
The Nazareth Senior Legion Baseball will start the year on June 1st at East Stroudsburg and then on June 6th at Birches.

The Boys Lacrosse Team was at Pleasant Valley on April 19th and won and then was at home vs vs Moravian Academy on April 20th and lost and then at Becahi on April 22nd and won and then was at home vs Dallas Area on April 23rd and won and now will be home vs Saucon Valley on April 26th and then at Northampton on April 28th and then Senior Night on May 2nd vs Freedom and at Easton on May 4th. This Year Seniors are Broc Bender, Drew Bohl, Jacob Cole, Hunter Enstrom, Jason Fuquay and Nick Saeger.

 

The Girls Lacrosse Team was at Pleasant Valley on April 19th and lost and then was at Moravian Academy on April 20th and lost and then at home vs Becahi on April 22nd and won and then will be at Northampton on April 25th and at Saucon Valley on April 26th and then host Northampton on April 28th for Senior Night and will be at Dallas on April 30th and at Freedom on May 2nd and host Easton on May 4th. The Seniors this year are Sarah Osmun, Abigail Gensits, Hailey Federico, Isabela Gangotena and Elle Stocker.

This year Seniors are Jacob Vosseller, Peyton Wapelhhorst, Aaron Leopold, Ethan Horvath and Chase Clifford

 

The Nazareth Softball Team won at home vs Pleasant Valley on April 18th and at Becahi on April 19th and lost and then was at home vs Northampton on April 21st and lost and then was at Pocono Mountain East on April 23rd and won and wil be at Liberty on April 26th and then host Freedom on April 28th and then at Parkland on April 29th and then host East Stroudsburg South on April 30th and then host Dieruff on May 3rd. This year Seniors are Hannah Karc, Abbey Leach, Blake Shuler, Hope White, Kara Wilson and Ari Kwiatek and Zoe Turner.

 

The Nazareth Track Team beat Central on April 19th and will now host Emmaus on April 25th and then at Whitehall on April 28th and then at Dieruff on April 30th and then at Easton on May 3rd. The Boys Seniors are Daniel Smith, Christopher Swanson, Logan Sanders, Tyler Rohn, Tanner Riehl, Robert Pitsko, Owen Minnich, Nicco Mastromonaco, Brian Laurito, Mason Koch, Cameron Koch, Joshua Karyea, Stefano Albarracin, Brady Bast, Christian Calderon, Matthew Capobianco, Robert Dewey, Maxwell Ehrlich, Gavin Gaul, Kevin Givone, Jake Hilarczyk and Tyler Horn. The Girls Seniors this year are Violet Alao, Morgan Bayda, Emma Blackham, Aaliyah Cohen, Ava Colagiovanni, Hailey Falzone, Sierra Jordan, Skyler Jordan, Kelly Leszcynski, Gianna Marchese, Emma Ricci, Norah Stivala and Caitlin Voloshen,

The Boys Tennis Team Played host Stroudsburg on March 30th and won and then was at East Stroudsburg South on March 31st and won and then had Senior Day on April 2nd vs Pleasant Valley and won and then then at East Stroudsburg North on April 4th and won and will host Liberty on April 6th and then at Whitehall on April 8th. 

 

The Boys Lacrosse Team played at at Emmaus on March 29th and won then at Liberty on March 31st and lost host Northwestern on April 1st and  won and then beat Northampton on April 2nd and then played vs Pleasant Valley on April 5th and won and will host Easton on April 6th and then at Southern Lehigh on April 8th and host Freedom on April 9th and then at home vs Central on April 12th. 

 

The Girls Lacrosse Team were at home vs Emmaus on March 29th  and then at Northwestern on April 1st and won lost then at home vs Liberty on April 2nd and on and will be at Pleasant Valley on April 5th and will host Southern Lehigh on April 7th and then at home vs Freedom on April 9th and then at Central on April 12th. 

 

The Nazareth Baseball Team played host Liberty on March 29 and won and host East Stroudsburg South on April 2nd and won and then was at Freedom on April 4th and won and will be at Central on April 5th and then host Stroudsburg on April 8th And then at Dieruff on April 11th.

 

The Nazareth Softball Team played host Liberty on March 29 and won and host East Stroudsburg South on April 2nd and won and then was at Freedom on April 4th and lost and will be at Central on April 5th and then host Stroudsburg on April 8th And then at Dieruff on April 11th.

 

The Nazareth Track Team will start their season on Tuesday April 5th vs Parkland and then host Becahi on April 7th and then at Freedom on April 13th.

The Boys Tennis Team beat Becahi on March 14th and beat Central on March 16th and will be at Emmaus on March 21st and at Northampton on March 23rd and then host Freedom on March 25th and then at East Stroudsburg South on March 28th.

 

The Nazareth Swimming team was at Bucknell University this week for their State Finals and the Results are as follows:

 

200 Free - Ethan Coffman 1:45.21 - 29th

50 Free - Jack Hasker 22.23 - 28th

200 Free Relay - Hasker, Ellis, Tinsley, & Coffman 1:28.15 - 22nd

400 Free Relay - Hasker, Coffman, Ellis, & Tinsley 3:13.53 - 18th

 

The Boys Lacrosse Team will open the year on March 25th at home vs Parkland while the Girls Lacrosse Team will travel to Parkland.

The 2022 Spring Sports Season have started this week as the Boys Tennis Team beat Becahi on March 14th and will host Central on March 16th and then host Pocono Mountain West on March 18th.

The Nazareth Wrestling Team Were at the Giant Center in Hershey for the Individual Tournament where:Sean Kinney State Champion at 285 lbs.Sonny Sasso State Champion at 189 lbs.Charlie Bunting Bronze Medal at 120 lbs.Braxton Appello-Fries 4th at 126 lbs.Nick Foster 4th place at 145 lbs.Jake Doone 7th place at 138 lbs. Ayden Rader 8th place at 132 lbs.Ryan Fairchild 8th place at 160 lbs.

The Nazareth Boys Basketball team saw their season come to a end on March 5th with a 74-70 lost to Northampton.

The Nazareth Girls Basketball team saw the season end on March 8th with a lost to Spring Ford in the First Round of States.

Congratulations to our 2022 PJW Junior High State Championship Placewinners!Brayden Zuercher (7th at 157lbs)Elijah Simak (7th at 212lbs)Brayden avenged an earlier tournament loss to take 7th Place. The Nazareth Wrestling Team Were at Liberty High School for the Regional Tournament Friday March 4th and Saturday March 5th at Liberty High School where 11 Wrestlers qualified to go to the State Tournament in Hershey at the Giant Center from March 10th to March 12th. The First Round/Preminary Round will be at 4pm on March 10th, 8:15pm will be the First Round Cons. and then on Friday March 11th at 2:15pm will be the Quarterfinals and 2nd Round Cons, and at 5pm will be the 3rd ROUND Cons. and then on Saturday March 12th will be the Semifinals/4th Round Cons. at 9am and then at 11:30am will be the 5th Round Cons. and then the Finals and 3rd-7th Rounds Cons. will be at 7:00pm. All the activities can be seen on FLO Wrestling which you need to pay for and WGPA 1100 Will have the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and the Finals. Special Congrats to Sean Kinney, Ryan Fairchild, Chase Levey, Sonny Sasso, Domonic Wheatley, Nick Foster, Ayden Rader, Jake Doone, Braxton Appello, Charlie Bunting, Tahir Parkins.

The Nazareth Boys Basketball team were at Easton Middle School on Wednesday March 2nd in the Semifinals vs Parkland at Easton Middle School and Lost and then played on March 5th back at Easton and lost again to Northampton 74-70 to see the season come to a Closed.

The Nazareth Girls Basketball team were in the District XI semifinals on Tuesday March 1st against Northampton and lost 47-37 and then played Easton in the Consolation Game on March 4th and lost and will be in the State Tournament on Tuesday March 8th at 7pm in the First Round of States and if they win they will play in the Second Round on Friday March 11th vs Upper St. Clair/Central York Winner.

Welcome to Andy’s Corner! The Nazareth Wrestling went to on Monday February 7th at Nazareth Middle School in the 1st round of states vs West Chester Henderson at 7:30pm and won and then went to the Giant Center in Hershey where they Wrestled Abington Heights and got the win on February 10th and then on February 11th they wrestled Williamsport in the Quarters and got the win and then in the semifinals they beat Waynesburg and then on February 12th lost to Becahi in the Championship.

The Nazareth Boys Basketball team played at home vs Becahi on February 7th and won and then on February 11th played in the First Round of EPC Tournament at Becahi and will now on Monday February 14th were in the EPC Semifinals vs Pocono Mountain West at the PPL Center in Allentown and won 67-56 and will now be in the Championship at 8pm on Thursday February 17th also at the PPL Center vs Parkland. The Senior Cheerleaders for the Boys Basketball team are Amanda Scianna, McKenzie Harris and Victoria Jordan, Victoria have been nominated to be a cheerleader at the Big 33 Football Game this coming May!

The Nazareth Girls Basketball team traveled to Becahi on February 7th and won and then played at Northampton on February 11th in the 1st Round of the EPC Tournament and lost and now off until February 25th.

The Nazareth Wrestling went to Pocono Mountain East on January 26th and won 71-0 and then on January 29th were in the EPC Championship against Becahi and lost 30-24 and will be in the District Quarterfinal on February 3rd at Liberty High School vs either Whitehall or Emmaus at 7:30pm and then the Semifinals at 10:45am and Finals at 5:30pm at Freedom High School on February 5th. The Seniors are Matthew Burton, Ryan Fairchild, Nicholas Foster, Braxton Fries, Vincent Hebel, Ayden Rader and Xaiver Taylor.

The Nazareth Boys Basketball team went to Liberty on January 25th and won and then host Freedom on Community Night on January 28th and won and will host Dieruff on February 1st and then at Freedom on February 2nd and then at Easton on February 4th and then at Wilson on February 5th and then at home vs Becahi on February 7th. The Seniors are Jojo Adames, Tyler Aide, Jay Alexander, John Alexander, Nolan Booth, Kole Federico, Kevin Kelly, Ryan Kresge, CJ Santos, Chase Skrapiits and Koye Whitman.

The Nazareth Girls Basketball team played host to Liberty on January 25th and won and then went to Freedom on Community Night on January 28th and lost and played host to Bangor on January 1st and then travel to Dieruff on February 1st and then host Freedom on February 2nd and then play host to Easton at home on February 4th and then travel to Becahi on February 7th. The Seniors are Blake Shuler, Marina Falzone, Hailey Falzone, Maddie Ahearn, Sarah Topping and Kelly Lescynski.

The Seniors for Swimming are Neehi Sheka, Madison Smith, Connor Grohotolski and Vjay Hou and Jules Rice.

The Nazareth Wrestling team were at home vs Easton on January 10th and beat Easton in a huge athmosphere and then went Stroudsburg on January 12th and won 74-0 and then went to the Virgina Duals the weekend of January 15th and won the tournament as they won all 3 matches that they were in against, St Mary’s Maryland, St. Auguestine Prep and then Lake Highland Prep and will have Senior Night on January 19th vs Northampton and then at Emmaus on January 20th.

The Nazareth Boys Basketball team played at Dieruff on January 11th and got the win and then played host to Easton on January 13th and won 70-41 and then will went to Becahi on January 15th and lost 54-53 and will host Northampton on January 18th and then at Pocono Mountain East on January 21 and then at Pocono Mountain West on January 22nd.

The Nazareth Wrestling team were in the Bethlehem Holiday Tournament on the 28th and 29th and Won the whole tournament, 1st place, Charlie Bunting was outstanding wrestler of the tournament, Sean Kinney runner up, Chase Levey was champion, Sonny Sasso was champion, Domonic Wheatley is champion, Jake Doone is champion, Charlie Bunting is champion, Ryan Fairchild finished 3rd, Nick Foster finished 3rd, Ayden Rader finished 5th, Braxton Appello finished 6th and now the wrestling team will host Allen on January 5th and then host Whitehall on January 6th and then host Easton on January 10th. The Nazareth Boys Basketball team were in the Whitehall Tournament where they beat North Hunterdon New Jersey 73-68 and then beat Downingtown West 74-60 to win the Tournament to improve to 7-1 and will now be at Central on January 4th and then host Strudsburg on January 7th! The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team played host to East Stroudsburg South on December 28th and won 65-32 and will now play at home on January 4th vs Central Catholic and then go to Stroudsburg on January 7th and then host Governor Miffin on January 8th! The Nazareth Wrestling team went to Dieruff on December 15th and Won and then played host to East Stroudsburg South on December 16th and won and then to the Beast of the East Tournament on December 18th and December 19th and did very well in the Tournament and now off until the Bethlehem Holiday Tournament on the 28th and 29th! The Nazareth Boys Basketball team were played host to Liberty on December 14th and won and then went to Parkland on December 17th and won and will now host East Stroudsburg North on December 21st and then travel to Freedom on December 23rd. The Nazareth Girls Basketball Team were at Liberty on December 14th and won and then played host to Parkland on December 17th and won and will now travel to East Stroudsburg North on December 21st and then host Freedon on December 23rd for Alumni Night and then go play at home on December 28th vs East Stroudsburg South at 11:30am on December 28th! The Nazareth Girls Soccer team played at Delaware Valley in the first round of States on November 9 and won 1-0 to advance to the 2nd Round of the States on November 13th when they traveled to Springford High School to play Downingtown East and lost 2-0 to end the season. The Nazareth Field Hockey team played at Whitehall at 5pm on November 2nd vs Parkland and lost to see the season come to a end. The Nazareth Girls Soccer team played at Emmaus at 5pm on November 2nd vs Parkland and lost and will now in the 1st Round of the PIAA State Tournament on November 9th when they travel to Delaware Valley at 5pm. The Nazareth Boys Soccer team played Parkland at Emmaus at 7pm on November 2nd in the Semifinals and lost to see the. season come to a finish.. The Nazareth Boys Soccer team beat Whitehall 4-1 on October 28 and will now play Parkland at Emmaus at 7pm on November 2nd in the Semifinals. The Nazareth Football team took on Whitehall on October 22 at home and won 35-14 and will now have senior night at home on October 29th when they host Easton.

The Nazareth Girls Volleyball team will start the 2021 Districts on October 26th when they travel to Liberty at 6pm and if they win the semifinals would be on October 28th and the Championship would be November 3rd.

The Nazareth Field Hockey team went to Easton on October 19 and lost and will start Districts on October 28th at home vs Stroudsburg.

The Nazareth Boys Soccer Team played Emmaus at home on October 18th and lost and will now start Districts at 7pm on October 28th at home vs Whitehall and a win would mean they would be in the Semifinals on November 2nd and then the Championship on November 4th.

The Nazareth Girls Soccer team played Freedom at home on October 18th and won and then went to Whitehall for the EPC semifinals on October 20th vs Easton and lost and will host Pleasant Valley onOctober 28th at 5pm to open up Districts and if they win the semifinals will be on November 2nd and the Championship would be November 4th.

The Nazareth Football team played at BASD Stadium Saturday Night vs Liberty and won 17-6 and will now have Homecoming Friday October 8th vs Central Catholic. The Football Team is now 4-2. This Friday October 8th will be the Annual Homecoming Game!

The Nazareth Field Hockey team played at Parkland on the 28th and won and then played host to Pocono Mountain East on September 30th and won then at Lehighton on October 2nd and won and will be at Becahi on October 5th and then host Northampton on October 6th and at Whitehall on October 7th with a 12-0 Record.

The Nazareth Girls Tennis team were at Parkland on the 27th and lost then at Easton on September 28th where they fell short and their record going into the playoffs is 9-8.

The Nazareth Girls Soccer Team were at Easton on the 27th and lost and then were at Emmaus on the 29th and won and then host Pleasant Valley on October 1st and won and will be at home vs Liberty on October 4th and at Freedom on October 6th and then at Dieruff on October 8th and then at Pocono Mountain West on October 9th. The Girls Soccer team is 9-2 as of October 3rd.

The Nazareth Girls Volleyball team played host to Emmaus on the 28th and lost and then at Pleasant Valley on the 30th and won and then played host to East Stroudsburg South on October 1st and won and will host Liberty on October 4th and then at Freedom on October 6th and then at Dieruff on October 8th and then host Stroudsburg on October 9th. The Girls Volleyball team is 9-5 as of October 3rd.

The Nazareth Boys Soccer Team is 9-2 as they won at Easton on September 27th and then lost at Emmaus on September 29th and then beat Pleasant Valley on October 1st and will be at Liberty on October 4th and at home vs Freedom on October 6th and host Dieruff on October 8th and then host Pocono Mountain West on October 9th and then at Becahi on October 11th.

The 2021 Band Seniors are Kayla Bacak, Abigail Gunn, Connor Hagemen, Vjay Hou, Hailey Federico, Grace Malerba, Gavin Mills, Mason Rinker, Bridget Snyder. The Field Hockey Seniors are Marina Falzone, Hailey Falzone, Sarah Osmun , Ashley Moore and Elle Stocker. The Boys Soccer Seniors are Brandon Mayen, Colin Henchy, Luca Famularo, Sam Netzley, Nolan Booth, Zach McKinney, Chris Swanson, Liam Allen and Oliver Stride. The Girls Soccer Seniors are Rachel Billet, Cailyn Brown, Kayley Hynes, Sierra Jordan, Skyler Jordan, Kelly Lescynski, Gianna Marchese, Norah Stivala and Sarah Topping. The Girls Volleyball Seniors are Violet Alao, Lily Barnum, Emily Harclerode, Megan Holland and Veronica Morris. The Football Seniors are Tyler Aide, Broc Bender, Matthew Burton, Mathew Capobianco, Hunter Enstrom, Jason Furquay, Gavin Gaul, Jake Hilarczyk, Tyler Horn, Chase Levey, Dante Manos, Taizere Mason-Starling and Tyler Rohn, Nick Saeger and Travis Thibodeaux and Zachary Zym.

The Nazareth Girls Soccer Team went to Becahi on September 21th and won and played Whitehall on the 25th and won and will host Easton on the 27th and host Emmaus on the 29th and at Pleasant Valley on October 1st and host Liberty on October 4th.

The Nazareth Boys Soccer Team played host Central on the 21st and won and at Becahi on the 25th and won and will be at Easton on the 27th and then at Emmaus on the 29th at 6:30pm live on Service Electric Channel 550 and then host Pleasant Valley on October 1st and at Liberty on October 4th.

The Nazareth Girls Volleyball team was at Pocono Mountain West on the 20th and won and host Whitehall on the 22nd and won and host Easton on the 24th and won and host Emmaus on the 28th at 5:30pm on Service Electric Channel 550 and at Pleasant Valley on the 30th and host Liberty on October 4th.

As of September 27th the Football team is 3-2, the Girls Volleyball team is 7-2, the Field Hockey Team is 9-0, the Boys Soccer Team is 8-0 and the Girls Soccer Team is 7-1.

The Nazareth Girls Soccer Team host East Stroudsburg South on September 15th for Senior Night and got rained out and at Southern Lehigh on September 16th and lost and beat Dieruff on September 17th and will be at Beach on the 21st and at Pocono Mountain West on the 23rd and will host Whitehall on the 25th and host Easton on the 27th. The Nazareth Boys Soccer Team played Allen on September 13th and won then at East Stroudsburg South on September 15th and won and then host Southern Lehigh on September 16th and won and then at Dieruff on September 18th and won and will host Central on the 21st and at Becahi on the 25th and host Parkland on the 27th. .
